“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
It’s really important to have a personal project from time to time as it sharpens skills and the eye as well as reminding you why you started taking photographs in the first place. I got up early to join the commuters heading into and out of Waterloo this morning. Then I headed over the bridge and into Soho for a wander. Not a bad way to spend a Friday morning. I have always been inspired by street photographers especially those who try to capture the humour in the mundane such as Elliot Erwitt. Here are a few of my favourite photographs.
